English Rewiring of an occluded and incompletely deployed coronary stent with a sharp and/or tortuous entrance angle may be difficult in the emergency setting. We report the case of a patient who experienced subacute stent thrombosis in the proximal right coronary artery. Incorrect rewiring resulted in stent crush after conventional balloon angioplasty at lesion site. In order to improve the angiographic result parallel stent placement was performed. Repeat angiography at 6 months demonstrated vessel patency without restenosis.
