Genetics of signal transduction in invertebrates.

English Receptor tyrosine kinases regulate a number of different cell fate decisions during invertebrate development. Genetic analysis of the signal transduction pathways activated by these kinases suggests that they converge upon a common pathway involving Ras and a cascade of cytoplasmic kinases, diverging again in the nucleus with the regulation of specific transcription factors.
