Mandatory Human Rights Due Diligence Legislation

English Since the adoption of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UN Guiding Principles) in 2011, several states have adopted domestic laws aiming at implementing human rights due diligence (see Human Rights Due Diligence), at least in part. This Teaching Note surveys categories of domestic legislation that address human rights due diligence, highlight recent examples of domestic legislation mandating human rights due diligence, and outlines approaches for teaching the topic.
