English Abstract Radial Distribution of the Light-intensity in Nitrogen Afterglow The radial distribution of the first positive band system in nitrogen afterglow in dependence on the discharge current and on the pressure has been investigated. The measurements were made in the pressure range 0.06 torr-6 torr. It has been found that the radial profile of the intensity fol-lows approximately the square of the J0 Bessel function.
