English Markers of cardiovascular risk and cognitive performance were assessed in 347 children. In contrast with body mass index and blood pressure, only retinal microcirculation explained a unique proportion of variance in inhibitory control and information processing, when dependencies between markers of cardiovascular risk were accounted for.
