English French This thesis is part of the Bachelor's degree in Conservation offered by the Haute-École Arc de Neuchâtel. It concludes the three years of study and allows the student to demonstrate the skills acquired through the development of a work in a heritage institution.

It is based on a mandate given by the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and concerns the revision of the standard model of the loan condition report and the improvement of the visual documentation of the condition reports. The organization of loans is one of the most important activities of the collection management team, which must therefore have a clear methodology to produce condition reports in an efficient and systematic manner.

After a detailed presentation of the mandate, a first part of the work devoted to the definition of the competences necessary for the elaboration of loan status reports makes it possible to establish the expectations of the function and to address the issues related to interdisciplinary collaboration in the institution. It then helped to orient the work of redesigning the standard model, which focused on two main elements: the introduction of a new categorization of alterations and the proposed addition of sections devoted to handling recommendations and the indication of the presence of packaging and/or bases. To simplify the work of the collaborators, to enable them to better understand the new model proposed and to facilitate the communication of their requirements to the borrowing institutions, it was decided to complete our work by drafting a loan condition report protocol. This protocol provides general recommendations and a visual glossary of alterations, which was illustrated by examples found in the Olympic Museum's collections.

The second part of the mandate concerning the improvement of the visual documentation of condition reports is dealt with in the second part of the work. The proposals focus on the development of a method for annotating photographs to better locate the alterations observed. It is based on the study of specialized condition assessment software and on the specific needs of the institution.

Finally, the synthesis and discussion proposed at the end of the work make it possible to identify avenues for future work, concerning the application of the proposed suggestions within the institution.
 Ce travail de mémoire s’inscrit dans la formation de Bachelor en Conservation proposée par la Haute-École Arc de Neuchâtel. Il clôt ainsi les trois années d’études de la formation et permet de rendre compte des compétence acquises par l’élaboration d’un travail dans une institution patrimoniale.

Il a pour objet un mandat confié par le Musée Olympique de Lausanne et portant sur la refonte du modèle-type de constat d’état de prêt et l’amélioration de la documentation visuelle des constats d’état. L’organisation de prêt constitue l’une des activités les plus importantes de l’équipe de gestion des collections qui se doit alors de disposer d’une méthodologie claire permettant la production de constats de manière efficace et systématique.

Après une présentation détaillée du mandat, une première partie du travail consacrée à la définition des compétences nécessaires à l’élaboration de constats d’états de prêt permet d’établir les attentes de la fonction et d’aborder les enjeux liés à la collaboration interdisciplinaire dans l’institution. Elle permet alors d’orienter le travail de refonte du modèle-type qui se concentre sur deux éléments principaux : la mise en place d’une nouvelle catégorisation des altérations et la proposition d’ajout de sections consacrées aux recommandations de manipulation et à l’indication de présence de conditionnement et/ou de socle. Afin de simplifier le travail des collaborateurs, de leur permettre de se saisir au mieux du nouveau modèle proposé et de favoriser la communication de leurs exigences aux institutions emprunteuses, il a été décidé de compléter notre travail par la rédaction d’un protocole de constat d’état de prêt. Ce dernier permet ainsi de rassembler des recommandations générales et de présenter un glossaire visuel des altérations qui a pu être illustré par des exemples rencontrés dans les collections du Musée Olympique.

La seconde partie du mandat concernant l’amélioration de la documentation visuelle des constats d’état est traitée en seconde partie de travail. Les propositions se concentrent sur l’élaboration d’une méthode d’annotation de photographies dans le but de mieux localiser les altérations constatées. Elle prend appui sur l’étude de logiciels spécialisés de constats d’état et sur les besoins spécifiques de l’institution.

Finalement, la synthèse et la discussion proposées en fin de travail permettent d’identifier des pistes de travail futur, notamment concernant l’application des suggestions proposées au sein de l’institution.
