English French This work aims to understand the educational support provided to minors in pediatric by educators. To gain a concrete understanding of the challenges in this support, a specific research field was chosen: the 11th floor of the hospital in Lausanne, at the CHUV (Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois). Using a qualitative methodology, based on analyses of semi-structured interviews and participant observations, the work of the CHUV's educational service team is studied. The fact that educational work takes place within pediatrics reveals identity-related questions. Therefore, it was necessary to approach their work by considering interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare teams and therapists. Power issues have thus been revealed, as well as the added value of educational work in interdisciplinary settings. Attention has been paid to the experiences of patients in the hospital and the potential emotional suffering they may encounter. The educational service plays a role in supporting the well-being of patients and addressing their distress. Studying the role of educators in pediatrics contributes to understanding the position of social work in the healthcare field. Ce travail a la volonté d’appréhender l’accompagnement éducatif des mineur-es en pédiatrie par les éducateur-trices. Pour comprendre de manière concrète les enjeux de cet accompagnement, un terrain de recherche bien précis a été choisi : le bâtiment hospitalier au 11e étage à Lausanne, au CHUV (Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois) . À l’aide d’une méthodologie de type qualitative, s’appuyant sur des analyses d’entretiens semi-directifs et d’observations participantes, le travail de l’équipe du service éducatif du CHUV est étudié. Le fait que le travail éducatif s’effectue au sein de la pédiatrie dévoile des questionnements identitaires. C’est pourquoi il a été nécessaire d’approcher leur travail en prenant compte la collaboration interdisciplinaire avec les équipes de soins et de thérapeutes. Des enjeux de pouvoirs ont pu être ainsi révélés, mais aussi la plus-value du travail éducatif dans le travail interdisciplinaire. Une attention a été portée au vécu des patient-es en hôpital et aux éventuelles souffrances morales qui peuvent les toucher. Le service éducatif joue un rôle dans l’accompagnement du mal-être des patient-es. L’étude du rôle des éducateur-trices en pédiatrie participe à la compréhension de la place du travail social dans le domaine de la santé.
