  • Sierre : School of Management, 2023

Bachelor of Science HES-SO (BSc) in Tourism: School of Management, 2023

English As the world wakes up to the consequences of unsustainable tourism, the industry must transform to prioritize responsible approaches that promote positive social, environmental, and economic outcomes for destinations. Indeed, the changing world calls for tourism to minimize its negative impacts to become a force for good, which requires a fundamental shift towards more sustainable practices. Sustainable tourism is no longer an option but a necessity for the health of the planet and the well-being of communities. All tourist destinations must, therefore, rethink their strategies. This work focuses specifically on the resort of La Tzoumaz by investigating how the tourist office of this Swiss locality can effectively contribute to the implementation of a sustainable tourism strategy within the destination. The research carried out targets the three following areas, with the ultimate objective of presenting tailor-made guidelines for the tourist office.
