English The aim of this work was to test the effect of the presence of sea cucumbers (Holothuria. floridana) on the immune system, the growth, and the recovery capacity of coral species (Acropora cervicornis and Agaricia tenuifolia). A. cervicornis and A. tenuifolia are corals originating from the Caribbean Sea. H. floridana is a sea cucumber from the same area. It is still unclear how they interact and live in symbiosis. This research was performed to get a better understanding of the role of sea cucumbers in a reef ecosystem.
